HEBO Lift 9 Supports the Fehmarnbelt Project

The Fehmarnbelt Project is one of Europe’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. The 18-kilometre tunnel between Denmark and Germany will provide a faster and more sustainable connection between Scandinavia and mainland Europe.

HEBO is proud to support Femern Link Contractors (FLC) in this remarkable operation. The floating sheerleg HEBO Lift 9 is being deployed to position the enormous 500-tonne anchors on the seabed. These anchors provide secure mooring for the immersion pontoons IVY 1 and IVY 2, which are held in position by long steel wires during the immersion process.

A unique project where precision, engineering and heavy lifting come together beneath the surface of the sea.
