Project description

The Matador 3 lifted a 1,450-tonne tail, part of the innovative Jacket Lift System (JLS) on board the world’s largest construction vessel, the Pioneering Spirit. The JLS is designed to safely and efficiently install and remove offshore platforms and jackets.

For this complex operation, the 1,450-tonne tail was transported from a pontoon to the Pioneering Spirit. The Matador 3 lifted the tail from the pontoon and carefully positioned it on board the construction vessel. The operation was supported by a tug and push boat and the HEBO-P84.
