Works Description:
Salvage combination HEBO/ADC/Baars Cipro won the D&C Tender for the salvage, transport, storage and conservation of the Kamper Kogge. As part of a dredging operation on the river IJssel the 15th age Kogge as to be removed on a geological sensible correct way out of the river soil. For this job we engineered special salvage equipment. On location we placed a current protection-lifting frame. Underneath the Kogge we placed 20 lifting sling. These slings where connected on a computer operated lifting system. Inside the ship we placed beams for keeping the original form of the ship during the lifting operation. After a successful salvage operation we transport the ship to a conservation location in Lelystad. Engineering and building of this conservation location was also a part of the project scope. The whole operation was successful executed under a great public interest in a period of 7 months.
