Restored Discharge Pipes Reinstalled at Stroink Pumping Station

At the Stroink Pumping Station in Vollenhove, the first restored discharge pipe has been successfully reinstalled. This marks an important milestone in the restoration of the more than 100-year-old listed national monument.

The discharge pipes are an essential part of the pumping station and have been restored after years of intensive use to ensure the installation remains fit for the future. Thanks to a carefully executed operation, the technical condition of the pumping station has been improved while preserving an important piece of Dutch water heritage.

Following the successful reinstallation of the first discharge pipe at Stroink Pumping Station, the work has continued according to plan. The second discharge pipe has now been fully removed. In addition, the first and final sections of the third discharge pipe were removed in two stages. Subsequently, a temporary dummy pipe was installed to allow the work to continue. The restored discharge pipes will be reinstalled shortly, after which the next phase of the project will commence.
